You can use our Document Delivery service for documents and resources (such as periodicals, conference papers, scientific reports, dissertations, patents and standards) that cannot be accessed within our library. The service is currently free for all our users. Taking full advantage of the service is welcomed by our faculty members and students. We endeavor to provide high quality service. We transfer the required documents by cooperating with various organizations including China Academic Social Sciences and Humanities Library (CASHL), China Academic Library & Information System (CALIS) and Shanghai Library. Procedure for using CASHL • User registration Please register first for using CASHL, the access to the interlibrary document delivery. Log on the home page of CASHL and click the top right “CASHL’s Fast Track for User Login/Register”. Complete the registration as prompted. Your documents are ready to deliver once the registration is verified. Note for User Registration(1) Personal ID number or student/staff number can be used for registration. (2) Contact methods including E-mail, telephone number and address should be filled completely for document delivery. • Submit Applications Log on the home page of CASHL → Search documents → Periodicals, find the title of the requested article, → click “Document Delivery” → “Send request for document delivery”, type in the user name and password registered to enter the web page of the application information, click “Submit” to complete the process of submitting your application. • Access the full text After submitting the request for document delivery, the user can access the full text within 1 to 3 working days. • Service charge Currently, during the promotion period of document delivery, we provide 100% subsidies to our faculty member and students for charges incurred during the process of CASHL document delivery. Tips: 1. CASHL normally have free-offer promotions twice per year in March and September. In October and November, promotions are held for East China area (¥1.00 per article). For details, please pay attention to the “News&Notice” of our home page. 2. You can accumulate the documents in demand at usual time and submit them together during promotion period. 3. Before submitting any request, please search local collection and digital resources and make sure the document requested is beyond our local coverage. 4. Please do not request for over five articles of the same volume of the same periodical. Excess request of this kind will be declined by CASHL. Please get registered by visiting the CALIS’ User Gateway System through http://ill.sh.calis.edu.cn/gatewaygateway. Choose “Shanghai University of International Business and Economics” (as default IP address). Click “NEXT” to enter the Open Public Access Catalog (or OPAC), i.e. the Library Catalog Search system. Log in by typing in your SUIBE account number (student No. or staff No.) and password (initially the student No. or staff No., or the last 6 digit of your personal ID card). After the initial log-in and successful verification, you will be channeled to the registration page. Please complete the information as prompted. Notice: During registration, please choose the right affiliation, i.e. “Library of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics”. Please confirm your email registered is accessible because the full text documents will be sent to the email address. All blanks with * should be filled in. The information registered will be confirmed by us (within one working day). After that, the user can log in to CALIS to apply for full-text delivery. • Submit applications Please visit CALIS Shanghai Document Information Service Center. Search and find the document in demand. Download if the article is locally collected. Otherwise, please apply for CALIS interlibrary loan.
