On the afternoon of Sep 25th, Sun Haiming, president of SIFT, metwith Université Paris X( Nanterre )president Ma Defang who came toattend the first Shanghai-Paris High Economics, Management &Culture (SPHEMC) Forum. The two sides had a friendly and sinceretalk and came to consensus in exchange of students, teachers, booksand other sources. They also expressed the wish to cooperate indistance education, degree education and other related aspects.
During the meeting, president Sun Haiming offered an introductionabout SIFT including general overview, orientation, educationalphilosophy and the development of subject construction. He hopedthat both sides could push forward the substantive cooperationbetween the two universities. Ma Defang, president of UniversitéParis X spoke highly of the jointly-held Shanghai-Paris HighEconomics, Management & Culture (SPHEMC) Forum and would liketo take this opportunity to expand the bilateral cooperation.
After the meeting, a framework agreement on cooperation between thetwo universities was signed.
Université Paris X is one of the most famous universities inFrance. Its economics and management related majors feature manyexperienced teachers and abundant research achievements. Theuniversity boasts a Nobel Prize winner.
